Frederic Martinez

Cybersecurity Business Development, Thales

He become Ingénieur en Télécommunications in Paris in 1988 and started his career in CISI, the IT subsidiary of French Atomic Agency (CEA).

He spent nine years being network architect for the Cité des Sciences / La Villette in Paris. In 1999 he joined Alcatel, to work on Enterprise networks and focusing on VoIP. In 2003, he started working in Alcatel for the Cybersecurity unit that was developing the first Managed Security Services around SIEM, and hosting the experts of the Cert-IST, a CERT created in France in 1999 to mutualize huge enterprises warn and incident response capabilities.

After the merge in 2006 with Lucent (and its own cybersecurity unit) Frederic participated to the growth and standardization of these activities, with the creation of Club R2GS, and the transfer of some of its outputs to the ETSI ISI ISGroup, which he was the secretary until December 2014.

In January 2015, Alcatel-Lucent decided to partner with Thales Group in Cybersecurity, joining forces (and MSSP services) in a common unit hosted by Thales.
